Exciting changes: A growing team & future software developments
Dear customers and partners
We would like to inform you about some organizational and technical developments in our company TOPOFLIGHT AG.
Staff and organizational development
- Klaus Budmiger will reach retirement age by the end of June. He is handing over the management of TOPOFLIGHT to the next generation but will continue to support us on a part-time basis. As of February 1, Oliver Hasler has taken over the technical management as CTO. Many of you already know Oliver. His several years of work for us and his profound expertise in photogrammetry, laser scanning, and software development make him highly qualified for this role. Lukas Eiholzer remains COB and owner of the TOPOFLIGHT AG. He oversees administrative and personnel tasks.
- Pascal Stucki will continue to focus on the intensive development of our MISSIONPLANNER.
- TOPOFLIGHT is growing! In April, we will welcome Marcel Schwaiger to our development team. He brings along experience in developing operational monitoring systems for locomotives and will focus on further advancing the NAVIGATOR software
- Last year, we also expanded our support and training team. It now includes Tanja Titzschkau and Markus Mani.
- Lisa Schmid oversees the administration.
- After more than 20 years of collaboration with us, Tony Rominger has retired. His TOPOFLIGHT customers are now being looked after by our team. They can contact us via info@topoflight.com or our website. Tony continues his business with used aerial survey equipment. He has been with TOPOFLIGHT since its beginning. We thank him for his loyalty and outstanding effort! He always worked with us with great enthusiasm. We will continue to cherish our friendship.
Technical developments
The 2025 versions of MISSIONPLANNER and NAVIGATOR are currently being developed.
- One crucial extension will be the «Mission Management» which will make it possible to divide projects into individual missions. Missions can be e.g. staggered schedules, organizational separations and supplementary flights.
- Additional priorities in the development of our programs include calculating flight paths with defined climb and descent rates, enhancing control over multiple independent systems, and enabling corridor flights.
